With a quickly dwindling Social Security fund, lost 401ks and bonds, the ‘third age people’ are finding themselves in a place where they have to go back into the workforce. It’s not an easy process in this economy.

Job seekers aged 50 and older face potential disadvantages including less knowledge about new technologies and perhaps the ability to work at the same fervor as a counterpart half his age.
There is hope, of course. The senior-level job seeker often has more experience, more proven stability, and tangible results.
There are some great resources for the job search for this demographic. Check out some of the sites below to help find the right job for you:
Experience Works:
Experience Works is a national, charitable, community-based organization that helps older adults get the training they need to find good jobs in their communities.
Senior Job Bank:
The SeniorJobBank, very simply, is a meeting place for over-50 job seekers and the employers seeking their services.
Workforce 50:
Workforce50.com serves older workers with a full service job board and career site. All jobs are placed by employers specifically interested in staffing from the over-50 workforce. Their employment resources cater to mature workers searching for employment, in transition or approaching retirement.
Again, there will likely be a need to update your resume and prepare for your interview. For that, 360jobinterview.com is here to assist in making it a smooth transition while returning to work. Good luck with your search!
